Photojournalism Ethics

A photojournalism ethics I think should be absolute because I think that if you change the picture than its not really a picture because its not the truth and the photos are suppose to be taking at a real life moment.
Yes a photo can really capture truth because if you are there and capture it than it would be a real picture and the truth until you edit it and change any information or anything.
I think its important that news organizations keep their information about pictures true because if you change the information than its not really giving the right information.

Fashion Ethics

The changes they made on the models face was that they changed the size of her eyes, lips, neck, shoulders, eyebrows, cheekbones, the way of her hair, and the color tone of her face.
I think that it is not okay to change a person's appearance because it makes people think that they are not beautiful enough and all people are beautiful in the inside so it doesn't matter how you look.
I think that if you just send it on an email its different than if you post it in the news paper because more people will see it.
I think that if you just change your face by clearing it up than that's okay other than changing up the color tone and the way your face is shaped.
With photojournalism all you do is just take pictures of moments and not editing the way people look, but with photography all they concentrate on is making sure the people look perfect, and they just change up the color tone and much more. Both photojournalism and photography have a big difference when working with photos they both have their way of how photos should look and be edited.

Ethics Intro - Photo Manipulation

I thought that this photo was the most unethical because its not right just to copy a picture of someone without their permission and just paste it on the front cover of a magazine. I just think that if you want to have a picture mixed with the different ethnicity's than you should just get another picture.

I think this photo is the least unethical because its not hurting any ones feelings or anything. But all its doing is it just has the pyramids closer zoomed up to fit the cover. So I think this picture is not really that big of a deal that its fake.

University of Wisconsin-Madison

What was going on at The University of Wisconsin was that they had taken a picture of students at a football game. They were going to put that as their ad cover, but they noticed how they didn't have any African American ethnicity's. They then decided to cut out a picture of a African American male from another school and paste it on the cover blending in with the others.

I thought it was wrong for them to do that because they didn't even ask for permission of the young man to see if it was okay if they used his picture. Also how they didn't take the time to just get another picture of having more mixed ethnicity's.
